I like the idea of Michael Keaton, James Woods or Hugh Laurie, but I also think somebody like Ian McShane could nail this character. For the love of god please no Craig T. Nelson.

The thing about Lost that I could never get over is how long it takes to arrive at what is already a forgone conclusion. I'm not sure if all of the shenagigans really enhanced the ending as much as they padded the series. The film 'The Quiet Earth' is a much better take on a similar story, and if I didn't know any better I would think the writers were heavily influenced by it.

Count me as being the camp of: really, they're still thinking about doing another Terminator after that last abomination?

The last film came off as a poorly made fan service. They really need to scale down the concept of the movie and go back to it being more of a suspense thriller instead of a generic action movie wrapped up in an increasingly convoluted plot that nobody can follow anymore.

Yeah, I think i'd go see it, but only because I'm a sucker for what could have been.

Why aren't there any aliens in this trailer? I would expect for their to be at least one alien sidekick in a star wars movie.

Looks pretty good, but then again Gareth Edwards always had a penchant for crafting great visuals. Hopefully he has a story to match; really didn't care much for Oblivion or his Godzilla remake.

See, that's where I disagree. This movie actually had a lot in common with MCU films in the way it clumsily handled a lot of those extraneous plot points.

As a general rule of thumb I find forcefeeding the audience expanded universe bits to be a bit of a shady practice. Rarely is it in service of the story at hand, and the worst examples actually detract from the movie (Iron Man 2).

The Knightmare sequences added very little to the movie, and to be hones...

Look at all of you guys being critics and having different opinions and stuff!

The critics aren't the problem, most of the criticism's I have read about the film are perfectly valid. Most agree that the film does have some positives, but they are not nearly enough to outweigh the movie's shortcomings.

Anyone who is familiar with Grant Morrison's comic would have a hard time disagreeing. The story is really about how Superman and Batman's ...

It's pretty good, but don't go in expecting a crowd pleaser. I was lucky enough to get a chance to see an advanced screening of it because I live near a major market. If you are familiar with any of Jeff Nichols other films you'll have a rough idea of what you're in for.

Maybe, but at the very least Warners needs to bring in a team that can back him up. He has his sister producing his films based off of sub par scripts from Goyer.

I think he is a capable director, but he needs a strong team behind him to reign him in.

Wouldn't hold your breath on that one.

I had hopes for Duncan Jones too.

I think it also has a lot to do with the fact that unlike most superhero films, this movie isn't exactly family friendly.

As far as the actual criticisms of the movie are concerned, a lot of people legitimately like the flick and more power to them. It's a shame because I feel like the overwhelmingly negative criticism has overshadowed a lot of the positives in the film. While it might not quite work as a whole, I found the overall presentation to be more impressive t...

So what are we suggesting? That all of the critics conspired to give this movie a bad rating?

I wanted to like this movie despite all of the negative buzz, but at the end of the day I had to face the fact that it's just not very good. Like, even on a technical level there are several major flaws. That's not to say there aren't positives to take away from it, but in no way do those outweigh the overwhelmingly bad things going on here.

I feel like ...

While they have made huge strides in season 2 in improving his character, I found him to be nearly unbearable in the first season.

Daisy Ridley seems to be a fine actress, but I actually found her character rather dull. A lot of it has to do with the fact that all of the new cast are hampered by a script that caters more to nostalgia than actually developing it's own characters, but she didn't seem to experience any growth during the movie. A shame, because I thought the first thirty minutes involving her storyline were borderline great, but the movie goes downhill from there and never quite recovers.

Kind of agree. This just feels like another year...another X film. I'm getting really tired of seeing this whole end of the world scenario in general. How many times can we watch superhero's save the world from certain destruction and not get tired by it? Think I'll go watch some Daredevil.

Even more disturbing was the amount of plastic surgery Carrie Fischer has had. I don't think I saw her face make an expression once.

Lmao, if only we could be so lucky. It would be the next best thing to not doing this movie at all!
