Personally I subscribe to the theory that this next installment of Nolan's Batman will be a 2-parter, just like the recent Harry Potter. This thing is just getting to big for a single movie to contain it, and when you look at it from a studio perspective there is a lot more money to be made by splitting film up into 2 parts, which seems totally plausible considering TDK./run on sentence.

Besides, it would be nice to see Nolan go out with a bang. As much as I love the or...

I think I just vomitted in my mouth a little.

The poster for the original film is one of the all time greats; they just don't make film posters like they used to. I fully expect to see an orange/blue color scheme when the actual poster is finally unveiled.

Not to mention, a lot of so called 'cinematic' games rely on scripted moments that don't involve any input from the player.

Huh, well at least they are trying to go in an original direction, part 2 just felt like a rehash of the original with a lot of the same gags.

Somebody needs to tie Lucas to a chair, tape his eyelids open 'clockwork orange' style, and make him watch Plunkett's review.

But yeah, I totally agree. CG should be used to augment what is already there, strictly in moderation. Films that rely too much on CG come off as hollow spectacles.

QFT. Initially when I heard they were going to be using CGI I was a bit disappointed, the makeup effects in this series were always top notch. This looks better than I could have imagined.

As much as I love Viggo, I'm sorry, Michael Shannon is just on another level and he is better suited for this role. Mortensen is better suited at playing stoic characters, I was more disappointed that he didn't get the role of The Gunslinger in the upcoming Dark Tower adaptation (Javier Bardem is still a great pick btw). Michael Shannon plays creepy like noone else, he'll be an awesome villian. He is easily in the upper echelon of actors working today.

One thing is for sure, Lumet went out at the top of his game. Before the Devil Knows Your Dead hit me like a swift punch to the gut. It's impressive really, the man was 86 years old and he hadn't lost a step.

The Verdict is my favorite courtroom drama.

Is Hawkeye getting his own film treatment or is he going to appear as a supporting character in other films? I don't understand why they brought in a relatively big name actor like Renner for the role if he's only making a glorified cameo. Nice find btw.

Thank god, another 'Your Highness' review!

There are a lot of movies from 2010 I've yet to see. For me top 10s are always a work in progress.

The tone of Kick Ass was way too uneven for me. It was trying to be a realistic superhero film, but at the same time there were moments that devolved into pure fantasy. It was trying to have it's cake and eat it too.

Inception was kind of a convoluted mess as well. I hated the way Nolan relied so much on expository dialogue. It was like he was trying to see how many times he could break the cardinal rule of filmmaking: show not tell. I actually preferred Shutter Island,...

From what I understand, they are keeping an embargo on the reviews so the ending isn't spoiled by reviews, but that still doesn't explain the total lack of ads.

I do find it odd that the movie opens in less than a week and they have yet to unleash the media blitz for it. Still, I have faith. The sequels to Scream were actually pretty brilliant, although it will be interesting to see how the series can compete with the torture porn that the horror genre has evolved into.

Call me old fashioned and nostalgic, but there is just something about making that weekly trip down to the video store...it's something that can't be duplicated by Netflix. I love scouring the horror section and finding that obscure horror flick, or just having passive discussions about films with random people (and laughing at the teenage employee's recommendations). One day, many years from now, I will tell my grandchildren of this time when we go down to our local redbox in sea...

That's too bad about the reviews, I was really looking foward to the minotaur rape scene. Figures though, couldn't stand Pineapple Express.

The test footage for the now defunct CGI movie was also promising:

Unbreakable 2: There is obviously a lot of potential for them to expand on the original but I don't know if I trust Shamylan enough at this point not to totally botch it.

And I believe heard Nolan express some interest in making a sequel to Inception, but I think it's a bad idea. Let's not break down the layers of the first movie; leave it open to interpretation.

I think Army of Darkness deserves some consideration. And I know it's cool to hate on but I actually liked Ridley Scott's Legend.

I'd agree with The Fellowship as the best LoTR movie though.
