Not sure if it's the greatest but the origin parts of the film are the best thing about it - the last third of the movie not so much.

uhm, Duh? I hope people really aren't getting Interstellar confused with an intelligent movie. There is nothing subtle about the way that Interstellar approaches its subject matter, unlike 2001 which is smart enough to realize that some questions are over our head no matter how much pseudo science films like Interstellar cram down our throats.

eh, the original was more just a showcase for Rick Baker's effects. Never thought of this franchise as much of a big deal.
One can only hope, I liked the first one and the second was a major step up. Too bad GDT has expressed he doesn't have any interest, it would have to be under a different director.

The announcement of all these spinoffs is really killing my excitement for the franchise. The Star Wars cinematic universe has always revolved around one epic struggle, I feel like all of these spinoffs are only going to dilute the main films which should be the focus.
Out of all those movies I have only seen The Imitation Game and Maze Runner and they were both over hyped. A run of the mill bio/Oscar bait movie and a watered down tweener movie. The ending to The Maze Runner was probably one of the laziest twists I have ever seen.

I don't think there is a more perfect person for this role, and I would have said that before Fury Road. She actually already shares a striking resemblance to the character, she's one of the best working actresses today, and her star power would give the movie more appeal/bankability.

Eastern Culture is a huge theme of Dr. Strange. There is nothing about Tilda Swinton that screams Tibetan Monk. Ethnicity is actually an important trait of the character, unlike a lot of other recent white characters that have been recast as other races.
