I really want to see a feature film come out of this series. We're so long overdue for a new MK movie. I'd like to see what it would look like with a massive budget.

Well i doubt if it happens it will have a massive budget. That said I think it's very very likely to happen. If the web series gets as many views as the original Rebirth video did then WB would be retarded not to make a full movie. Fans have been clamoring for years for a new MK movie and it just never happened and now there is a Director out there that not only has proven he can do it and make it awesome but also loves the original story and characters and thus won't screw it up.

I personally think it's just a matter of time until a full movie happens but I guess time will tell. I would bet the week after the last episode of Legacy goes up on the web they will announce a full movie.

All I can say is they really need to replace Jeri Ryan if Sonya is in a movie. She is way to old to be playing that character and it was quite evident in the first episode of Legacy(she looks double the age Sonya is supposed to be) Oh and if they do make a movie or the 2nd web series with Liu Kang they need to bring back Robin Shou he was perfect as Liu Kang in the original 2 movies and I can't think of anyone who could do it better.

I agree with you about replacing Jeri Ryan. Sonya is supposed to be like 25 years old and it's pretty distracting.

Robin Shou looks pretty damn old now too. Maybe not old but more mature. He looks like he would be better off as Shang Tsung

Agreed, it would be an awesome throwback to the original films if they cast Robin as Shang Tsung this time round, or maybe even Kung Lao, Liu Kang's ancestor.

I would love a new movie and I think if the web shows keep getting hits then it will only be a matter of time.

Things are looking good for a future movie. 5 million+ views in a week is nothing to sneeze at.

Hopefully the game does very well.

Count me amongst those who would love to see a quality Mortal Kombat movie get made. The characters are dynamic enough, and the story could certainly be told in an entertaining fashion. They need to continue ratcheting up support for the idea, and above all else, need to assemble a competent team, if said idea comes to fruition. Sounds simple enough!

I'm sure they'll replace Jeri Ryan if they make a movie. It's all about the bottom line and attracting the younger audience and the gamers so they'll have to get one of the younger stars to play Sonya. Hope they do it soon...It would be nice to have a Mortal Kombat movie to go see at the box office with all those fight scenes.
