CinemaBlend:
Thanks to a great cast that includes the likes of Peter Dinklage, Steve Zahn, Ryan Kwanten, Danny Pudi and Summer Glau, and a plot description that involves LARPing (live -action role playing), the movie Knights of Badassdom has been on our radar for a long time, but, sadly, we haven't seen too much from it. The horror/comedy was first announced all the way back in January 2010, but we've yet to see any promotional material from it...until today.
ATE: "I wish there was something good to say about “Knights of Badassdom.” The writers, director, and most of the actors knew they were making a cheesy film that might be a cult hit with a certain audience. The problem is that there aren’t enough laughs to make it a great comedy, nor enough story to make it a good horror movie."
FilmFracture:
After being stuck in production limbo for the better part of two years, it would appear that 'Wrong Turn 2' director Joe Lynch’s fantasy-horror-comedy 'Knights of Badassdom' will finally find its way to audiences. The North American distribution rights to the film have been acquired by Entertainment One Ltd. with plans for it to be shipped to both theaters and VOD. 'Knights of Badassdom' stars Peter Dinklage ("Game of Thrones"), Steve Zahn ('That Thing You Do!'), Summer Glau ("Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles"), and Ryan Kwanten ("True Blood") as live-action role players who unwittingly unleash a demon during one of their sessions and are forced to deal with the consequences.
This week's topics include: the Avengers movie concept art/banner, positive feedback from the Amazing Spider-Man panel, Knights of Badassdom trailer, Wolverine 2 a.k.a. The Wolverine's official bad guy, Star Wars deleted scenes, Ridley Scott's Prometheus, The Legend of Korra trailer, and a bunch more!
I've not heard of this film until now...but it sounds awesome! Really want to see more of this. Hopefully a trailer before too long.
