I've read a lot of Kip Thorne... it's a massive amount of theory, and very good source material for realistic (in... relativistic terms) sci-fi. I just hope they don't botch the whole wormhole plot device, it's easy to get that mode of theory very, very wrong - which is usually fine and forgivable, but if they're using Thorne, that's a fountain of accurate information that leaves little room for mistake.
Then again, Jonathan Nolan might just be inspired by such rich work, though it'd be nice to see believable modern sci-fi with no strings and no cheats.
