...the guy who made this short also made the Venom and Punisher shorts on youtube...he's actually commented how much he doesn't care for the power rangers, but using them was a good PR stunt. There was no way they were going to let this thing fly, the Power Rangers does have a wholesome image to live up to.
The first one was good because of Finchers direction, but id rather see him move on to other things. The books the movies are based on aren't very good.

There is absolutely nothing significant as to what race Parker is underneath the hood, that's part of what makes superheroes unique - they are everyday people after they take off their mask. Peter Parker may as well be black, or Latino or Inuit. The fact that so many people are outraged by such an innocuous change makes me embarrassed as a white person.
I don't see the problem here - why should other ethnicities get stuck with all the second tier characters? It's almost embarrassing how Marvel has slighted these characters, from Blade to War Machine to Falcon.
I will say this: The fight will make more than the opening weekend BO of Avengers 2.
I have no problem with exploitation or genre pictures, but this argument is just ridiculous. Superhero films are fun because they are dumb entertainment, and there is nothing wrong with that. Very few have the actual depth or dimension of most Oscar contenders. (I would argue that Tilda Swinton, who starred in the comic book adaptation Snowpiercer, deserved a nom)

D9 was good but Elysium was one of the dumbest movies I saw last year, and Chappie looks a little too close to Short Circuit. We'll see. I'm not ready to proclaim Blomkamp a scifi genius just yet.

Doesn't spiderman die in the civil war? In which case they would have to introduce a new spiderman, like Morales. I think this is where the argument should lie, if there is one at all.
It would be incredibly interesting though to make Spiderman black, as he is always at odds with the authorities and in many ways mirrors the plight of African Americans nowadays. Plenty of material could be mined from this premise.

Well if they do decide to go back to Hal it shouldn't be hard to cast, they don't even need to get Reynolds back they could just go with any wooden object.
I think it has a lot to do with Trank's style as well, but either way the trailer didn't really show us much of anything.
Trailer doesn't give much to go on, but I didn't find it as disappointing as the recent Ant Man trailer. I'm still holding out hope that there is a decent film in here somewhere.
Impressive trailer, but I'm kind of disappointed that this looks like it's more about setting up the next phase of marvel films.
