Yep, that was about as big a tease as I can think of since the original trailer for TDK. Nolan is amazing. I absolutely cannot wait to see this.
I completely agree with you both here. Without the full cast returning, the movie wouldn't feel the same. Man, I hope something gets worked out. Still, like the article pointed out it was a long time between Alien and Aliens and Terminator and T2. So who knows.
Maybe if he had a role like those two pirate side characters in the first Pirates trilogy, Pintel and Ragetti, where they were there for comedic effect. If they had him in that kind of minor, and I stress MINOR role, I think it could work.
Well, here is hoping that this new version does better than the Stallone version and that Dredd does NOT remove his helmet this time around.
I wish some of the more emotional moments from the book made the film (I won't spoil it for everyone but if you read the book and watched the film you know what I mean), but overall it was a great movie.
Is it hard to believe that this movie would have done what it did? Just look at the frenzy leading up to the film's release. People knew that this was it. No more books, no more movies. This was the last chance they would get to see Harry Potter and company on the big screen for the foreseeable future and they showed up in droves to make sure they didn't miss it.
Admittedly, I was one of the ones who was there for the midnight showing. And I wouldn't have missed ...
I was just about to state that: the latest Mortal Kombat game felt like watching the game become a movie. The way it branches out and follows different characters during different points during the series really felt as if it could work that way in a movie. Even the pacing of the fighting seemed timed to be that of a movie without some of the stupid randomness you got from the first film.
This is one of those films that I haven't gotten around to see yet but is high on my "Must Watch" list. It just looks like it is funnier than people watching the early trailers gave it credit for. Hopefully, this weekend, I can check it out. Awesome review, man.
It looks pretty freaking good. I love the way that all these Nolan films are accompanied by equally impressive marketing posters.
Pretty good list. Every character you listed, even the honorable mentions, are deserved of a spot there.
I feel the same way about Sander and Stiller as well. More so with Stiller. I used to get the appeal, but their likability has long faded away for me.
I love The Frighteners also. I would love to see a sequel or series made from that film.
Even for actors and actresses that I don't like I still try and watch everything I can just to see how bad things are. It may be a bit self-punishing but it's just what I do.
If they do that is a shame since they already put it out there that they are interested in this. For me, it's one of those instances where if you can't deliver on the goods in a positive manner don't say anything at all.
Well, seeing as how I am not an Adrianne Palicki fan, I am certainly not thrilled that she is potentially cast as my favorite G.I. Joe heroine. *sigh*
Yeah, no. I just can't get into this movie no matter how I look at it. I do believe that there is a way to make a Mario movie without having it be animated, but it would certainly be a film that plays to young kids and teens. Not that many gamers would mind, I know I wouldn't. But I just can't approve of this movie at all. Well, except for the cute Bob-ombs.
How about focusing on 1989's The Wizard, which predates this movie by about four years, next time. Tha...
Nice list. And I completely agree with you on the number one spot. But I have a bias towards that film anyway as it is my favorite film of all time.
Oh my stars and garters... somehow I just can't picture this really working. Well, yes I can, but I don't expect it to be anything nearly recognizable to the game other than just the title.
Maybe they don't mean for him to star in the film as much as maybe just add to the cast... if the rumors are true. Maybe have him take over Josh Duhamel's role in the series leading a team that works with the Autobots in a military capacity. I could see him in that kind of role.
That certainly sounds like a pretty feasible situation. I mean between two and three coming out quickly after a long stall between one and two.
