I think I will check those ones out. But it really isn't about how bad a scene is. Like I said, the Guinea Pig film series isn't listed on here even though it looks, and I mean it really looks, like a real snuff film. But for some reason it didn't make me feel as uncomfortable or entertained me like the films I listed here. But I will definitely check out Martyrs and give it a shot. Thanks for the recommendation. I am always looking to try out new films.
It sure as hell was. For most of the film I was cringing. But it was really well made.
Amen to that, brother. I am so there.
I know what you mean. I really meant it when I said I needed to steel myself up to watch it. I was really expecting something worst. But as it turns out, I think it is the best addition to the franchise since Starship Troopers. Give it a shot. Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll agree that it is still better than the other two films.
I completely, wholeheartedly agree with your number one pic.
If only you would have had Arnold in Commando as opposed to Jingle All the Way and the list would be near perfection.
I totally agree with you that it is a shame they would scale down the roster because of it being a movie. I can see where the production teams are coming from in doing so, but I think moviegoers are smart enough to follow along if the characters are written correctly and the story matches.
I could see Angie Harmon portraying She-Hulk on the big screen or on TV. That would be kind of cool.
Agreed, when I found out that Joss was the director I knew he would know how to handle the chores on this film - especially the interactions between all the characters. I really hope he comes back for 2.
I've been reading comic books for going on 30 years and in all that time, since I was really able to understand what a character stood for, Captain America is my favorite comic book character ever. Needless to say he is also my favorite Avenger.
Love the list, but in my opinion I would switch out Fresh for Coach Carter. But great list nonetheless.
How do you have contact with a Disney PR person and I don't considering I worked for the company for 10 years and still know people there? LOL At least I get their games... but the Avengers. WOW. I would trade all their games back just to see that right now. Brother, you are lucky.
You can also see bits and pieces of The Lottery, The Long Walk, The Running Man (the story not the movie), Nineteen Eighty-Four and others. To single out only Battle Royale, which also shares similarities with those stories is a mistake.
She usually lets me pick most of the films, but because this was our late Valentine's night out and she hadn't wanted to see one in a while, she thought this would be good. She usually does pretty good as well. Just this movie... I knew something was wrong when I saw McG's name attached to it.
Believe you me, I didn't want to see this either way. But it was my wife's choice and... let's just say she lost her next movie choice privileges because of it.
Pretty impressive list. I haven't seen Vampyres yet, but it is definitely on my radar now.
Haven't seen the movie yet, but it is on my watch list.
That is a very valid concern. The Hulk does not change size to suit who he is next to... he is a freaking hulk - he has to appear larger than most at all times. His size must be consistent throughout the whole film.
I so totally agree with you there. I would matte, frame and hang that in my study/gameroom.
I agree. I personally would love to see the Grand Admiral Thrawn trilogy or the Dark Empire saga be brought to the big screen.
