I've always liked Seann William Scott. Never understood why he always got such a bad rap.
People will do anything for a quick buck.
EXCELLENT LIST. Thanks for this post. Makes me even more mad at the Oscars.
Will it though? H2 didn't break the back or anything. I know it probably made its budget back, but I thought it opened at like 50% less than Zombie's first.
None of those films need a sequel.
Warrior, Warrior, Warrior, Bronson and The Dark Knight Rises.
/end discussion.
Absolutely love this show. Eastbound is probably my favorite show on TV right now.
I was starting to prepare my disappointment with this list, but then it hit me with 3 of my all-time favorite movies of this past decade, back-to-back-to-back.
CHE
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
The Fountain.
That's fine by me. The earlier the better.
I think this could be good like JL mentions above, but come on, the trailer is just horrid. At least Buried and all of the other "contained" films feel more plausible. The trailer for this one makes me ask the question of why don't they all rush the guy at the beginning before he gets the upper hand?
Different yes, better yes, but judged as its own film it's still kinda struggling in the story department.
hazelamy is right, but the movie's biggest fault was adding more people in the film. I thought one of the main points the book focused on is that Neville was THE LAST MAN on earth, hence the I Am Legend.
There wasn't another town or a mom and her kid or anything like that.
I haven't read the book in a few years, but I think it focused on how the new vampire society was more intelligent than portrayed in the movie and that Neville was the outcast, ...
Will Smith's performance in I Am Legend was great, but man did that film screw the book over so badly. The vampire creatures sucked and the ending was ruined!
That's never a good sign. I personally think the movie sounds pretty bad, but Levine has my ticket because of 50/50 and The Wackness. He's one hell of a director.
Watch out Netflix! I'm hoping this takes off because having 1 company doing streaming and controlling the prices sucks. The more options we have the cheaper the price and harder they'll fight to gain our business.
Finally. Glad to hear it's finally starting up.
Liking this more and more as things are getting released.
A lot better than it looked. Was surprised that the general audience passed right over it.
Hell yes, Carnahan is a perfect choice.
Even if you ignore the shameless promotion for the SEALS, the movie still fails to be entertaining due to the HORRIBLE one-dimensional villains that they cast, with the lamest of stereotypes.
I'm sorry, but if you want to make a MOVIE then you're film is going to get judged just like the rest of them, regardless on the fact that it stars non-actors.
