I smell the 80's! And it smells like burning hairspray!
Lose the schtick when you're reviewing...you're coming off like manky Care Bears. Not enough detail, focus on the topic is off. Get the energy up and talk to the audience, not in front of them.
Sometimes you need to take a break and I'm glad he did before he got burnt out. Supposedly he was getting real tired of the Hollywood BS and bailed, but I'm glad he's back. Those who are meant to create...you just can't keep them away. It needs to come out.
Someone get this to Danny Trejo immediately!
Still absolutely psyched about this film. Can't wait!
This one has me thinking. The first was a bit overhyped in my opinion, but this one looks to capitalize. Fingers crossed.
Still can't get behind sparkly vampires...just ain't gonna happen..that and puppy dog looking werewolves. For shame.
Ok, I am once again excited about this series. They've really progressed it and I can't wait to see Voldemort in serious action. Yeah, I'm stoked.
The only film in my opinion which has really grasped the religion genre was the original Prophecy. Let's hope they can recapture that. But tapping into an area that is wholly based on faith and therefore open to wide interpretation makes securing a story and making it entertaining very very difficult. When you side too strongly on one side you alienate other religions and therefore fall into the trap.
I guess we'll see.
Man Burton Addams Family would be sick. To take a whole "Nightmare" or "Corpse Bride" turn to the Family would be very interesting, considering what could be accomplished visually with the newest advents in stop motion and CGI.
Can't wait to hear more on this.
It was hard not to put any Bond pieces on it, but I decided ultimately on the fact that there were no breathtaking, ultimate moments scored in the films. Most range in emotional psyche up for the action, to get your heart beating and adrenaline pumping.
Apparently, Marcus Nispel spoke at length with Derek Mears as to how to portray Jason in the remake. What was decided was that Mears would utilize Greek Mask Work to convey the deeply disturbed and conflicted emotions within Jason. Though Nispel wanted to continue portraying Jason as an unstoppable killing machine, he wanted to shy away from the supernatural elements and humanize him, giving us a more fluid take on the legend.
While I agree with Mears approach to convey the...
The legitimate reason: Despite his incredible talent, remarkable uncompromising vision, and natural artistic ability it cannot be denied that Dennis Hopper was an insufferable prick when it came to both his professional and personal lives.
He was difficult to work with, his drug problems consistently were a headache to his costars, his directors, and his producers. He was argumentative, often thought he knew more than everyone else, and was at times so manic and out of contr...
This one was a blast to write. Jason is by far my favorite villain of all time. A highlight was when I got to meet (and get choked out) by Kane Hodder himself. So many memories here.
I will be first in line when this hits! AWESOME!
Now this will be interesting. Last I heard about anything like this was when NBC launched a web-based voter system to choose the next character for their show "Heroes". If SyFy (bleh) is taking a tip from a major network, maybe they've finally decided to get serious regarding their own movies.
We'll see how it works out. Personally I'm down for the Bermuda Triangle creature feature.
Shame that Verbinski isn't returning but Marshall has a good track record for visuals and strong choreography. Let's hope the can keep the energy up and won't change the formula. Being a character driven piece, backdropped by the amazing locales, he shouldn't have a problem.
Psyched to see Ian McShane as Blackbeard! That's gonna rock!
This is nice. Doesn't feel like a major corporate decision to enhance sales, but more of a starting point to bring B-roster heroes and villains to the mainstream.
Wonder if Disney had anything to do with this decision. Maybe a helpful suggestion or two?
Considering that recently, almost all of Nick Cage's best work has been in Disney films, I'm really anticipating this one. It's looks like a solid live action attempt at the cleaning sequence, let's hope they nail it in the final release.
I guess his rapping career didn't take off the way he thought it would. Back to acting as a fallback.
