actually, it's looking quite strong across the board. we'll have to wait and see the final product to see if Mortal Kombat is trumped in the game movie adaptation arena. Now can it beat Resident Evil? That may be the long shot.

why do I have the feeling I'm going to see parts of Johnny Knoxville I don't want to see in 3-D?

More Denzel...that's all I want. The man is as genius as he is a gentleman. Him and Tony Scott together again...it can only spell success.

Werewolves are so much more inclined for better storytelling overall. Vampires are kind of a "done and done" deal but werewolves have so much room for adaptation and evolution.

Brotherhood of the Wolf or "Le Pact De Lupes" was a fantastic film, good action, good plot, but the "werewolf" was actually a massive African Lion that was strapped with a wicked set of armor and blades, designed to generate fear as a "werewolf" type of beast. ...

Bummer. Tis a fantastic and intelligent show. Blows shows like Weeds out of the water and is comparable to House with drama and brains. Let's hope the mini-episodes don't suck the energy out of the whole shebang.

Awesome first look at these. Should be awesome in the finished product.

Glad to see his next project coming along...let's hope for a boost after Cop Out.

Thank you! This article was a blast to write, going back and researching all the old films and looking for all the tidbits on interpretation (by both actor and director). Just wait for Part II though. Werewolves!

I would rather have it put on hold and turn out great later than go forward and be delivered another Episode I disaster.

I feel like I just watched an intro to a music video. Yeah, not much here. But the costumes and sets were nice.

Not a time in one's career to be making such harsh decisions. However, I've always heard that Cage was a consummate professional so it may have been for extreme personal reasons, clashing with a director/producer/co-star, likewise. Or he may have been put off due to other dramas and bounced out at the last minute seeing a train wreck in the future.

Freakin' awesome. Man that brought back memories.

I'm very curious as to how the rules adapt to handle a franchise now that it has broken past the trilogy rules. Interesting.

WTF...

It's nice to see blockbuster directors taking a step back away from the shine of massive movie hits and tackling something a bit more challenging (from a perspective of less money). Should be interesting, but I will lay down a month's pay that we get an explosion or two despite the lower cost of the film.

Interestingly enough, I enjoyed Shutter Island more than Inception simply for the character drama. While both films were excellent, I have to say that SI played more to the mind and emotion than Inception, where the effects and action took center stage.

I just can't get behind Green Lantern. While I have no problem with Chris Evans donning the "4" as Johnny Storm and the stars and stripes as Cap, I take issue with Reynolds portraying the "Merc with a Mouth" and a member of the GL Corp. I'm a hardcore Marvel fan with only slight interests in DC comics (save for Batman) and the two shouldn't mix in anyway unless it's intentional and made for the laughs (like the JLA/Avengers trade). I guess we'll see,...

Hmmmm...concept art rarely turns out the way it looks. Let's hope they get close and as far away from the Broderick Godzilla as possible.

Nothing beats these, even though the Robot Chicken ones come close. Brilliance! Can't wait.
