LRA writes: Have you ever watched a trailer and had that one scene, that one shot that made you go "Wow, that was cool!"? Or maybe there was something you saw that stuck with you, something that for some reason was in the back of your head and despite how insignificant it was you were waiting for it to show up in the final cut of the film. But when you watched the movie that scene was nowhere to be found or has been altered in a significant way. Well, that is what the Tractor Tire Award of the Week is all about. We try to track down those scenes that didn't make it into the final version of the film and make sense of them. Where in the film was it supposed to be? Why might it have been cut? Why has it been changed? We may not always have the answers for you but at least you will have your piece of mind and know that you aren't crazy. So, this weeks award goes to Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance!
FinalBoss is thrilled to reveal our biggest interview to date – our white whale if you will. Mark Neveldine is one half of the directing team of Neveldine and Taylor. Making their names in the mid 2000s with multi-million dollar pictures like Gamer, Ghost Rider 2, and most notably the Crank series.
The first Ghost Rider film ranks up there with the first two Fantastic Four films as being briefly entertaining and nothing more. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, by contrast, strangely gets better the more times you watch it.
Yes......Yes they are. When he first turns to GR and the screaming turns to laughter, I literally lost all interest.
The first GR movie I didn't mind the second one was crap using Nicolas Cage was a bad call like Ben Affleck as Matt Murdock
Of course not. It's like the rest of his filmography — not half as bad as the trolls make it out to be. People ought to grow up.
Compare them to these and get back to me:
Suicide Squad
Fantastic Four (2015)
Green Lantern
The Green Hornet
Catwoman
R.I.P.D.
Priest
Elektra
The Spirit
I, Frankenstein
Jonah Hex
Punisher: War Zone
Steel
Inhumans (It got a theatrical release)
Man-Thing
I'm just happy Nicolas cage wasn't cast as Aragorn in LOTR, Imagine the horror...
FilmFracture:
Another year has gone by at FilmFracture and it has been full of great movies, mediocre trips to the cinema, and some downright awful wastes of time. With that said, here are the best and worst movies of 2012. I must warn you, our choices for the best movies may come as quite a shock--who would have thought a Troma picture would make a best of list?
Ted and Spidy were two of my favourite films of the year, and I complete disagree with the writer putting Les Mis in the worst section, it was outstanding.
I pretty much have to agree with the list. Sure some odd ones here and there, but I'm not a musical fan so Les would be down there for me too.
I just watched "The Beasts of the Southern wild".
It was very unique, and heart touching.
I suggest everyone check it out if you're looking for something different.
Disagree with Prometheus being among the best. Dark Knight Rises, Skyfall or the Hobbit instead! But I liked that they put Ted among the best. That is one funny movie.
