Film Music Reporter has learned that Alan Silvestri has signed on to score the upcoming comic book movie Captain America: The First Avenger. The film marks the first collaboration between Silvestri and director Joe Johnston, who previously has worked with such composers as James Horner, Danny Elfman, James Newton Howard and Mark Isham.
