Heat Vision:
Seith Mann, a TV director who has worked on shows including “The Wire” and “Fringe,” has come aboard to write and direct “Miss,” an adaptation of a graphic noir novel and that will act as his feature debut.
Hicham Benkirane is producing via his Vigilante Entertainment banner, and Spike Lee is executive producing.
Titled “Miss: Better Living Through Crime” and set in 1920s New York, the crime novel revolves around Nola, a white femme fatale who grew up an impoverished orphan, and stylin’ Slim, a smooth-talking Harlem pimp with gambling troubles. The unlikely interracial pair partner as murderers-for-hire.
