Want to know what the worst thing ever to happen to Hollywood was? The advent of TV? The breakdown of the old studio system? The Scary Movie series? Nope: the fall of the Berlin Wall. The collapse of the "evil Empire" and the Communist threat left screenwriters, producers and directors having to really think about their bad guys for the first time ever. And as the threads of political correctness bind Hollywood ever-tighter, this summer suggests that there are only two acceptable groups of bad guys left, at least in straight-up action movies: drug lords and the CIA.
Dark Matter Review: Although some of its runtime might be quite dense, there are moments in this sci-fi series that leaves you at the edge of your seat.
