If he's getting killed off in Civil War, this could all just be a ploy to throw us off the scent...unless he isn't, in which case, he's just open to receiving a bigger pay check. Might as well spread the RDJ money around a bit more.

If hes killed off in the comic version of Civil War, that doesn't mean they'll follow it.. Movie versions of books and comics are always changed to suit whoevers writing/directing.
