A year before Damien Chazelle’s excellent feature film Whiplash was in the limelight, a short film version was made which basically served as the film’s inspiration. It won the Short Film Jury Prize at the Sundance festival for “its wicked sense of humor, fantastic ensemble acting and razor sharp directing.”
Until now the film was not available online, but Whiplash was released on Blu-Ray last week so it made its way online . Enjoy! It is certainly a very interesting look at how great things have small beginnings.
