Tim Burton, the godfather of the modern superhero genre, admits he’s tired of Marvel’s tried and tested storytelling style.
"Marvel, they have their thing and there’s a certain formula to it all which seems to still be working," Burton told Yahoo Movies while promoting his new film ‘Big Eyes’.
The latest "Deadpool & Wolverine" trailer gave us a glimpse at the MCU's golden boys kicking butt and taking names - as well as a whole mess of Easter eggs.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Big words by someone whose movies have pretty well been failures in recent years
The Winter Soldier: An action movie about government conspiracy and what it means to be a patriot.
Guardians of the Galaxy: a sic-fi superhero film about five heroes, a human hipster, an alien assassin, a talking tree, an alien ronin, and a talking raccoon. A TALKING RACCOON, working through grief and finding friendship.
The Amazing Spider-man 2: We don't talk about that one.
X-Men Days of Future Past: A time traveling reboot undoing five years of pain and combining two mutant generations of awesome.
If it's a formula for success Burton's tired of, then yeah, I'm tired of good movies.
I agree with Burton - the formula is getting a bit old. I hate the way all of these movies rely around a macguffin. It never feels like there is anything at stake.
