Doubtful. Very doubtful that this is the case. Would I mind seeing it happen? Hell no, I think it'd be cool to see Ventress on the big screen. I just don't think Episode VII will be the one to do it.

Crazay3612d ago

I don;t even have a clue as to who that is...but...at the same time I don't care because in JJ I trust.

darklordzor3612d ago

She's a villain in The Clone Wars, who was a sith apprentice to Count Dooku. Generally a very badass character.

Crazay3612d ago

How badass? Cause honestly...nobody can top Vader in my eyes so if they're going to try and do that - they might lose me.

darklordzor3612d ago

Well in the show, she basically turns away from the Sith and becomes a bounty hunter (one of the reasons why I doubt she'd be in Episode VII). She's pretty damn badass in the show and the comics.

Badass enough that it would do wonders to dispel any concerns about Disney making Star Wars too child friendly.

Lord_Sloth3611d ago

So not beating Vader like a dead horse would lose your interest?

Crazay3612d ago

See..I have issue with bounty hunters in SW. Bobba Fett was a little punk and he got owned by a blind man with a stick.

RetrospectRealm3611d ago

Oh you need to watch the Bounty Hunters arc in Clone Wars. That'll FOR SURE change your mind.

darklordzor3611d ago

I was actually thinking the same thing Retrospect!

RetrospectRealm3611d ago

Don't forget she'd be 80 freaking years old man.

Yep, I think age would be a problem. Sure, you can explain away that she's an alien, but that feels awfully convenient for the story and lazy.

it would be cool if it does happen, but the timeline is too far and i do not think she will play ventress. it is more possible she would play a jedi.

Crazay3611d ago

Is the character before the events of the original series or after?

hazelamy3611d ago

that's a point, i think from the time of the Clone Wars, where she was introduced, to the when the new movie is set is going to be like 40 years or so isn't it?

aDDicteD3611d ago

yes it is already more or less 40 years, considering luke is already an old man in this film, when ventress was introduced in the clone wars, luke has not even been born. i doubt they will show an old ventress, it is very unlikely.

RetrospectRealm3611d ago

Episode VII will be 30 years after Return Of The Jedi meaning, Asajj was like 25-30 in Clone Wars, add 20 years from Episode III to Episode IV, maybe another 5, now 30 more, that's like 80+ years old!

stragomccloud3611d ago

Ventress would be super super old! Though, because of the power of the sisters and if her race ages very slowly, then I suppose it's possible. That would be epic though!
