"Bryan Singer has returned for his third directing role on the X-Men film franchise, and although he's been more notorious for sexual assault allegations recently, we're just going to refrain from discussing that topic of interest in this review. Singer had previously served as director on both the original X-Men and X2: X-Men United which, judging by their respective scores on Rotten Tomatoes (82 and 87 percent), are among the most superb X-Men films. Days of Future Past is no exception. Not only is it a great X-Men movie, but it's also a great movie -- period."
