Ben Affleck Talks About How His Batman Differs From Christian Bale’s

Latino Review

Deadline’s Mike Fleming, on assignment for Playboy magazine, conducted an interview with Ben Affleck which appears in the magazine’s 60th Anniversary Special Edition. The issue should be dropping on news stands any minute now. Yes, I read Playboy for the great articles and HELL YES I absolutely look at the pictures too so let’s get that out of the way.

"They said this is how it tends to play out initially"

lol...it's happened to like one or two Batmans, not all of them.

"When they asked if I would be Batman, I told them I don’t see myself in the role and I was going to have to beg off. They said I’d fit well into how they were going to approach the character and asked me to look at what the writer-director, Zack Snyder, was doing. The stuff was incredible."

Well you should of just told them that and left. Zack Snyder wanted Josh Brolin so I don't know why you just didn't ignore Warner Bros and left Zack to do what he wanted to his own film...I mean Josh was the one who should of gotten the role especially when Ben has even said. Warner Bros only wanted you because Argo won an Oscar while Zack wanted Josh because of his acting ability and he thought he was good for the role.

" It will be an older and wiser version, particularly "

Something I can't see you doing Affleck

I wouldn't be bothered myself if it was ONE Batman film, but you have this Superman sequel, maybe the third Man of Steel film, then the obvious three Batman films he will do, the Justice League films, then other smaller parts in other DC character films. Thats over a decade of Affleck, longer then Bale or any other Batman actor and thats something most people complaining don't want to see.

that was my concern also, it would be a pleasure seeing another batman film but the stakes got higher because if this next project fails it also drags man of steel with it and i liked that film and worst it would set the pace for justice league as well. i cannot see affleck outdoing bale and keaton but i think he would be better than kilmer and its a pretty mediocre benchmark.
