Hans Zimmer Talks Man Of Steel Sequel and His Thoughts on Ben Affleck as Batman

C: With Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and this summer’s Man of Steel, composer Hans Zimmer has now had the chance to write music for arguably the two most popular comics characters in the world: Batman and Superman. It almost has to be Hans. I can't think of anyone else being able to.

They are jumping the shark with a Batman/Superman movie. They should have at least established Superman in his own trilogy first.

I know right...especially if they are going to pull this crap and cast Ben Affleck when there's waaaaaaay better actors out there. I'm sure Zack Synder wanted Josh Brolin aswell.

You can obviously tell it's been done for marketing reasons thanks to Argo winning big at the Oscars

Idk, I think a veteran 40-ish Batman next to a rookie (just started the superhero biz) seems like a good match up. It'll give Batman a chance in the Vs. party of the movie lol. Also most people tend to forget that this is still a Man of Steel sequel. >_<

maniacmayhem3845d ago

It's a man of steel sequel but he will be upstaged by Batman. The whole focus will be on those two sharing the screen instead of fleshing out Clark/Superman further.

Batman had a whole trilogy dedicated to himself. The Marvel movies did too, it's almost like the studios didn't have enough faith in the Superman franchise to let him stand on his own.

The Batman from the dark knight is way more bad ass then Ben Afleck can ever pull off the Batman series will take a beating

It just sounds like the WB is going back to the Batman piggy bank. They don't want to wait to reboot the franchise. I kind of like the idea of a standalone film, but where are they going to find the time for Justice League and another Superman sequel?

Ben Affleck as Batman ruined this movie for me. I can't stand him. Very dissapointing.
