Deadline:
Transcendence is the next film Johnny Depp shoots and is the directorial debut of Christopher Nolan’s cinematographer Wally Pfister. Warner Bros has just given it an April 25, 2014 wide release date. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Paul Bettany just signed on to co-star playing a scientist and principal photography begins next month. Alcon partners Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson are producing, and Nolan and Emma Thomas are executive producers. The film was scripted by newcomer Jack Paglen.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Glad to see they getting this going.
I hate how they media calls this a Christopher Nolan film. He's just producing.
I get weary when a cinematographer gets in the director's chair. They tend to focus a lot on the picture and lighting, and forget everything else. It seems hard for them to step away from their previous job as cinematographer. They often fail to grasp that directing demands different skills and priorities.
