Going back to Superman's origins, the Man of Steel trailer showcases some of the film's talent, such as Russell Crowe as Superman's alien father, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as the Kents who find and raise him, and of course Henry Cavill as the superhero himself. Amy Adams as Lois Lane is shown at the end of the trailer.
Clark Kent is shown as a child having to guard his secret powers, and he's faced with the choice of saving innocent lives and revealing his true nature, or doing nothing and suffering with the knowledge that he could have saved them. His father tells him that he needs to decide what kind of man he wants to grow up to be, but no matter what, he will change the world.
The film's tone appears to be much more grounded and grittier than previous incarnations. Some might argue that a hero such as Superman doesn't need to be dark, however a character as powerful, as utterly indestructible as his needs some kind of a challenge.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
i'm sure they were making the same assumptions on superman returns trailer. let's wait and see
christopher nolan says its not going to be like the dark knight... but we will see
the trailer looks very very well done. it showcases the tone of the movie. everyone was well cast, maybe the biggest movie of 2013. snyders visual skills plus nolans storytelling skills well blended together.
Superman Returns has a 6/10 at imdb which is a really high score for such a garbage movie. To me 3/10 would be more appropriate. The movie was boring and forgettable.
Way to jump the gun. I suppose it comes with the territory, people blowing their proverbial load in the midst of trailer hype, but that doesn't make it any less stupid when it does inevitably occur.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Any human being who hasn't been living under a rock for the past ten years has seen countless epic trailers for movies that eventually fell short of the mark; I damn sure know I've seen my fair share.
I'm as hyped for this movie as anyone else, but let's just leave it at that - hype. All these guarantees ever seem to accomplish is disappointment, disarray, and hysteria.
