... he's just doing movies and projects HE enjoys doing.

He could EASILY go for the straight 'normal' leading man Hollywood roles, and still get paid BIG money. He doesn't. He does his own thing, always has. And I admire that in him.

It's strange that Depp is now getting criticism for playing 'the same oddball character' (while in fact they're all very different from eachother. All weird, yeah, but still different), yet guys li...

... Jason Statham!? Really!? The guy is slow as hell, and just poor technique.

Matt Mullens has slightly better technique, but still pretty poor and slow.

If you were going for a mostly western list, where's Michael Jai White!? Where's Scott Adkins!?

Why anyone would leave out martial artists like Yuen Biao (better technique, flexibility and speed than Jackie), Tony Jaa (amazing skills), or some unknown dude called Bruce Lee, is beyo...

... that would be too predictable: 'Oh, bad guy loses in the end'.

I hope they take the other route, and finally bust the myth that 'crime doesn't pay'. Sometimes it does.

I think they might have Walter come out 'on top' after all the destruction, obviously surrounded by dead bodies of those he loved.

Obviously, there's still the cancer to consider. And Walter has been the cancer for everyone around him.

Looks better than the 1st trailer, although it's a bit of a shame that it already pretty much gives away the ending (or even the whole movie, TBH).

... so much fun, and a pretty much perfect combination of action, comedy, slice-of-life, and teenage drama/romance.

... seeing as it's completely Hollywood-orientated, while some of the very best Gangster movies have been from places like Japan, South-Korea, and Hong Kong, among many more countries.

What about City of God!? What about A Dirty Carnival or A Bittersweet Life!? What about Takashi Kitano's movies!? What about Gomorroh!? A Better Tomorrow? Layer Cake!? Full Contact? Friend? Etc etc etc...

... as far as environments and such is concerned.

However, it also looks like the only reason this is being made is because they want to shove more overpriced toys up our nose, instead of telling an entertaining good story.

I'm guessing this will just be a 90 minute marketing ploy.

I'm HOPING Pixar will prove me wrong, and that this will end up being a great movie.

... but sadly the western releases are cut, missing the original ending :(

Watched the 4 others and really liked them, although I'm not sure if they'd be in my top 5 Korean movies.

... plus I feel that Batman Beyond was excellent as well, and Superman TAS was also very good.

So sad to see many of these great shows being cancelled way too early.

Also, here in Holland all cartoons are now being dubbed in Dutch, and hardly any of them are sold as complete box-sets, making it very difficult for comic fans to watch these cartoons.

... It's just another gimmick that's been used to great effect in a few movies (Avatar), but mostly it's been ABUSED, in a terrible and lazy way, in order to ask for more money for a movie ticket or 3D BluRay release...

I honestly feel it doesn't add anything to the experience. Quite the opposite in fact.

... and I think Shailene looks TERRIBLE as Watson.

I'm used to a busty smiling voluptuous sexy cool Mary Jane Watson from the comics, not some skinny sour emo girls.

... I don't care how much money they make at the box-office. Which, btw, seems more a case of marketing (or lack of) to me, than an indication of actual quality.

Yes, we had some nice action-movies in the 80's and 90's, Terminator 2 possibly the biggest and baddest of them all as far as big-budget Hollywood action-star vehicles go (and Hard Boiled and Fist of Legend (uncut) being the best non-western action movies), but like I said, I disagree that we now have wor...

Nope.

"Think about your favorite action movies. They're all from the 60s-90s right? Basically, pre-2000s."

Wrong again.

No offense, but there's more cinema than just Hollywood. And there's a whole lot of better action-movies being made than the crap you just listed in your articles when you were giving Jason Statham and Kill Bill as examples.

Have you seen Ong-Bak!? Have you watched The Raid!? Have you s...

Not saying I'm a huge fan of the series, cause I'm not, but I thought the first 3 were at the very least 'enjoyable' (haven't seen the 4th), and they're in a genre which is very rare, namely the pirate adventure genre.

I enjoy them as mindless popcorn fun as an adult, but I know that as a kid I would probably love them. Like I used to love those old Burt Lancaster movies. And I feel these movies are being made for a new generation of kids for years to ...

... and now this!?

Guess we'll have to see how it turns out, but I'm kinda hating the current trend of movies getting their score done by some pop-musicians.

RZA doing Kill Bill, which was OK. Mike Shinoda replacing the excellent soundtrack of The Raid. And now Jay-Z.

... because they've casted an actor who's in his late 20'sto play a teenager, which might not be a problem for the first movie, but obviously it will be ridiculous when it's the 6 years later and they're doing the 3rd movie.

... that means it will just be another disappointing Disney-flick, which we've grown used to, instead of a disappointing Pixar film, which almost never happens :)

That said, I LOVED Tangled (Rapunzel), so there's always that hope that Disney starts delivering the goods again.
