The worst was the at the end, they tried SO hard to make him seem psychotic, it worked in the beginning but by the end it was just cringe-worthy.
Those questions were all introduced, but in my opinion they weren't tackled. The first half of the movie did a great job bringing them up and I was really impressed by that, but the second half of the movie just threw everything away. It backtracked and turned into a mindless action flick.
I have yet to see a single well done superhero movie, as far as story goes. The only one that's done it right is Dark knight.
I don't understand why there's always monumental amount of hype on everything superhero related. I find there's always an inherent limitation with the genre. You know the Superhero will never die, you know there will be an origin story for the hero and the villain, then the something will go awry to turn the villain evil. There will be ...
Avengers had a great script and characterization. I thought Joss Whedon did a brilliant job with how these big superheroes interacted with each other, but the story wasn't as great, it all got jumbled up in the second half of the movie.
Guardians was really funny and also had a good script, but the story was terrible. I don't understand why it wasn't penalized for having a shitty cheesy villain, and a shitty conclusion. It didn't have much other than comedy. ...
Everything was amazingg except for the second half I'd say. After that the action was great as expected, but the story took a hit. It started off so freakin good, like a 9.5, then lost it's consistency, it ended at about an 8 so I'd agree with that.
It's anything but medicore, it was bloody amazing. I went in there expecting shite and came out so happy.
As far as watching it in theatre goes, it's nothing like the first Cloverfield, where you felt like you were in a giant city. This was more of the opposite, you felt claustrophobic and that actually made it better in theatres somehow.
If you really don't wanna watch in theatres then don't, but definitely watch it at home then.
This movie was bloody awesome!! It's just a roller coaster ride of "what's gonna happen next". I have not seen a movie like it in a long time.
My advice: Watch it high and don't try too hard to make sense of it.
Do we really need a movie on every possible character in every single universe? Half of them turn out to be ass. SO many great movies pitches get turned down because everyone wants to make superhero movies and everyone wants to watch superhero movies.
That being said, venom movie would be interesting lol.
Lol don't worry that's how literally everyone felt. It's supposed to be that way. By the end of the season you'll understand more, and season 2 will be hell of a lot better.
Wtf not spiderman again...
You also have to understand that there are very serious issues behind the scenes specifically involving blacks and whites. Blacks have a long history of fighting for recognition so it deeply affects them, and I can understand why they'd want to promote black cinema and actors.
But that being said I agree with what you're saying. I think their message was not professionally delivered. They were too pro-black instead of pro-equality. They also promoted their cause by do...
It was good...until he took his mask off and turned into a pretty boy with daddy issues with a cliche "betrayal". Great build up was Empire Strikes back when Vader corners Luke and cuts his arm off before revealing to him that he's his father.
Gut wrenchingly bad scene, Kylo looks more intimidating as a lego than in the movie.
Last movie was really corny at the end. Hope this one's better.
I think the upwards pointing Tiara makes all the difference. Why did they decide to make is point down??
^I can understand why it's more of a cult classic or throwback for that reason. Unfortunately, i watched it without realizing that, and the setting with my friends didn't help.
I usually think Evil Dead, which is one of my favorite films, when I think cult classic.
The movie was freakin terrible. My friends and I literally joked about stupid things happening and they actually happened.
I still remember at the end when he shot his kid, we were like "wow now watch the army show up right now hahahaha"....and sure enough that's EXACTLY what happened.
I thought it looked great! I'm not a big superhero guy because I can't take them seriously, because they can't take themselves seriously. That's why I like the dark themed movies, and the Joker of course.
Wow no wayy
What exactly will make it Rated R?
