Albatross Revue: The Raven Review

The Raven is the new case study for what happens when you have a poor script. There’s absolutely no suspense, no tension, in fact nothing to keep the audience watching for the duration. When faced with a genre movie I often work out the twist, the ending and then invent better ones about 20 minutes into the movie. The Raven allowed me to do that 30 seconds into the film. I’m honestly not exaggerating there. Based on watching the trailer and the first minute anyone who’s seen more than four thrillers in their entire life should be able to do the same. Combined with the fact that there’s no peril makes for a film you should avoid at all costs.
