CAN NOT WAIT!!! This looks to me like the offspring of Clash of the Titans, Gladiator and 300 if they were to have some weird sort of 3way.

JL4562d ago

Hmm...so, which one would be the "mom" there? lol

I agree though. Looks awesome. I've never been a fan of Tarsem Singh's movies, but he definitely has a unique and impressive visual style. This is the type of movie that takes great advantage of that.

darklordzor4562d ago

The only one that doesn't fit with the others is Clash of the Titans....Because, you know, the other two were good.

Crazay4562d ago

Duuuuuuude....It wasn't all that bad unless you loved the original. Ok the black Pegasus wasn't right but aside from that.

However, I was thinking that Clash would have been the mother.

darklordzor4561d ago

See, I really did love the original film. I grew up with it. But it wasn't the changes they made, that made me dislike the remake.

The remake just did a poor job of telling a story. It seemed like there were story elements that got left on the editing room floor in order to save time or squeeze in more action.

I didn't care when any of the people died, and that's a shame. They should have felt like a fellowship, but instead, they were just there, and when they got killed there was no impact for it.

this scene doesnt make sense. why when the enemies get hit, theyre the only things that slow down? unless thats some sort of ability that activates (it seems more like a directors technique) when the enemy gets hit then that would be more sensible, otherwise its just retarded..........kinda like my sentence structuring :P

barberwise4561d ago (Edited 4561d ago )

@unself
well I loved the art style! and I guess that not only are they super strong they are also super fast. so when they die, normal old gravity does the rest of the job that's why only death slowed them down. in a few cases enemies where flipped or thrown and only slowed after the deathly blow... if we were that strong and fast we would view the normal world in slow motion simply from adaption to our current super speed, maybe the producer wants to us to view the scene as the characters would... lol i guess ;o)

UnSelf4560d ago

i see what ur saying, but why is it that ONLY the enemy slows down and every other thing proceeds at normal speed, even other enemies?

its like the enemies who get hit have their own time scale. either that or the enemies death causes a time dilation to occur, opening up a Rosenburg bridge

MinimeJer054561d ago (Edited 4561d ago )

This looks...uh... kind of weird. Not used to the visual style, but that doesn't mean I don't like it. I think it could work well. So glad this is R though!

Seeing this tomorrow.

darklordzor4561d ago

Yeah, the R rating should make all the stuff they're trying to do a lot better. Tarsem definitely has a directing/visual style all on his own, but in the end, I think it'll work for this mythological setting.

MinimeJer054561d ago

Agreed. I like the look, it just might take some getting used to. I especially enjoy the polished look. Almost makes the backgrounds look really fake and the characters like super detailed. I think it will work as a good opposite to Synder's grainy 300.

Rated R for Real... awesome..

loudhugo4561d ago
