IGN - Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides was not a critical smash, by any stretch of the imagination. And it wasn't quite as successful as other Pirates films that came before it, scoring about $60 million less than the last film, At World's End (for the record, it still sopped up gobs of cash overseas).
Admittedly, while the story is all over the place, it's not a bad follow-up to the previous trilogy. But On Stranger Tides has one terminal flaw – it's completely forgettable. In fact, I had to watch the movie again for this review just to recall what it was about. And it's only been three months or so since I last saw the film.
Don’t let the cringey awkwardness of The Office fool you: Michael Scott would actually be the perfect boss.
