Season 2 of TWD is going to be awesome. My only hope is that they don;t rush it too much to get the governor in this season. If they do introduce that character, I hope it's during the season finale setting up Season 3 to be a huge story arc with that guy.

I can't wait for Season 2, and I hope it follows the graphic novel more this time around, I mean season was far from disappointing, just want to see more references to it, and I hope Stephen King actually got to write an episode.

Crazay4685d ago

I'm pretty sure he did get a crack at an episode. Darabont and King make good film together so why should TV be any different?

LtSkittles4685d ago

Oh that's good, and I don't know :D

Crazay4685d ago

HAHAHA!!! Seriously dude. Are you up on the comics to date?

LtSkittles4685d ago

I only have Volumes 1 and 2 sadly.

Crazay4685d ago

PM me with what you've read up to. I'm up to date until about 3 issues ago. I'd like to know what you know to make sure I don;t spoil anything.

Well...to both of you, my nephew reads the graphic novels and he liked the show but said it was disappointing because it didn't stick to the story of the comic like he thought it was going to do. He went as far as saying that he wasn't sure he was going to watch this coming season.

Myself...I liked it and don't read the comics so I don't know how fair that was to the show. I thought he was being a little too critical.

Right - they didn't follow the story exactly as they've shown it for a whole bunch of reasons.

The main one being to keep people like myself and your nephew guessing. keeps it fresh for veterans of the series and the changes were all made with Robert Kirkmans blessing. It's no surprise that this season is going to see the Herschel farm which is AWESOME!!! Hopefully it also sees a few other things.

The changes they made were good for me because there I was thinking I knew a certain someone was going to die and it never happened. I was surprised and that's what made it better then I could have hoped for.

I am one of those people who will watch a zombie movie purely because it's a zombie movie.

alycakes4684d ago

Well..I'm looking forward to the new season myself. I never liked zombie movies or anything like that until Resident Evil came along...then Zombieland just floored me and of course Shaun of the Dead and more and more I got into it...so now I'm hooked.

Don't get me wrong...not all are made well and I'm not going to see just any zombie movie...some of them are just dumb.
