Deadline: The Riches star Eddie Izzard is returning to FX with a new drama project, now in development. Izzard is attached to star in the untitled drama, which he co-created with writer Doug Jung based on an idea Izzard had been developing for a couple of years. Dark Blue co-creator/exec producer Jung will write and serve as showrunner on the project, set in Washington D.C., which centers on Eddie Braun (Izzard), a disgraced ex-congressman who, after a sexual scandal, has become a new kind of political fixer for hire. Along with his insider knowledge of the Beltway, Eddie's not above using blackmail, theft or even a gun to someone's head in order to get results.

Don’t let the cringey awkwardness of The Office fool you: Michael Scott would actually be the perfect boss.
Sounds somewhat like Leverage from that description, which could be interesting. I kinda liked that show during the times I got around to watching it.
I really like Eddie Izzard, but I think I'd much rather see him do something comedic rather than drama.
Only saw a couple episodes of The Riches. Didn't really grab me. The Shield was the only FX show I watched religiously. Sons of Anarchy is ok, but it loses me when it gets too "Hollywood". I've known real bikers in my life, so I'm used to the genuine article I guess.
