Even while the flick was rolling I was trying my best to figure out exactly how to explain my feelings about it. A caricature of Frank Miller comics, mixed with video games, rolled into a bad movie? Nothing seemed to click with me until I left the theater. During post-movie discussion, a friend said, “It’s like this movie took the cut scenes from a Final Fantasy game and tried to pull a plot out of it.” I can’t think of a better way to sum up Sucker Punch.
