This 2010 remake is not a bad film. It also will not stand the test of time like the original did, through no fault of its own. This remake does fill in some logic gaps, provides some more nasty environments, and a more horrible situation for Jennifer, and even has more than a few roles that benefit greatly from more realistic acting. Still, the modern sensibilities wear heavy this time around, and it seems the message gets lost.
