Hmm, I can agree with some of the points. Not many of them, mind :P The main beats of the story I could live with but the journey to get there was far too rushed, and that sullied the excellent 7(ish) seasons before it.
There is no defence. The plot points are fine, the writting and character development though, were atrocious.
You can't defend how they choose to conclude the story, the last episode literally ruin the whole series & this is/will be the reason the rating drop/is going to drop further in the future & for years to come, it's not coincidence that since the last episode air BB surpass GoT in IMDb.
Why did Bran become King when he says 3 words a day and set up the events that burned king's landing. Why the hell is Sansa gonna demand an independent North when her brother is already king? What was the point in Jon being a Targaryen? Why is Bronn the lord of Highgarden for threatening Tyrion's life? So many things that make no sense and betray the logic of the series.
There is no defense here this franchise is dead to me
