Time Out
“You people are monsters,” growls Billy Bob Thornton in the first Bad Santa (2003)—a line that’s doubly funny for coming from a mangy, Scotch-soused mall thief in a stained Santa suit. Apart from being vicious, that movie had a Coen brothers–like sense of fatality to it, along with a hint of honest-to-goodness Christmas redemption. The brittle new sequel has neither of those things, but mainly it lacks director Terry Zwigoff who, as he did with Ghost World and Crumb, suggested a vital, original voice.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
