Movie Review: Ben-Hur - Film Fare

Film Fare: Hollywood should stop remaking their classics. The prime example of the hazards of this trend is the new Ben-Hur movie. It’s a silly action film pretending to be a Hollywood classic. The production values and the CGI is top notch. The movie looks like an epic. But the transgressions with the original story are so appalling that even the Ben-Hur saga seems like a major drag. The new star as Ben-Hur, Jack Huston is not a patch on Charlton Heston. Ben-Hur in its latest edition seems like a sorry excuse for rehashing an old but proven concept.
