Forbes: Sony opens Sausage Party on Thursday night in North America. The Columbia/Annapurna production comes at a cost of just $19 million, which means this should be a pretty stress-free way for Sony to end the summer. The R-rated CG-animated movie, which concerns a bunch of grocery store “items” (mostly food) who discover that their fates are not what they once thought, is a genuine original and a potentially big deal for American animation.
