The Walk VR App Allows You To Tight Rope Walk Between the Twin Towers With Merge VR Goggles

EB: The Walk, which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Philippe Petit, the crazy dude who tight rope walked between the World Trade Center towers in 1974, is now available on Blu-ray/DVD, but to make things more interesting a new VR app has also been released for the film.

The app is called The Walk VR, and it is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. It allows you to relive Petit’s walk in a virtual environment courtesy of the Merge VR goggles, or the more rudimentary Google Cardboard face set, and for the most part it achieves the effect of walking on a tight rope between two of the former tallest buildings on the planet.
