Variety: New Line has preemptively picked up “The Burn,” an action-adventure pitch from “The Conjuring” scribes Chad and Carey Hayes.
The project is described as a tentpole akin to “Top Gun” and “Backdraft,” and is centered in the world of elite wildlife firefighters.
Beau Flynn is producing “The Burn” via his FlynnPictureCo. Wendy Jacobson will oversee for FlynnPictureCo, while Richard Brener, Michael Disco and Samuel J. Brown are spearheading for New Line.
