You see kids, sometimes, if you hope hard enough, dreams really do come true. After years of feverish fan campaigning, suspiciously leaked test footage and wishful thinking, the Deadpool movie is almost here.
Deadpool’s long awaited, R-Rated, solo debut finally gets released next year, landing in February in what’s sure to be a maelstrom of swords, swears and chimichangas. We know very little about the film itself apart from the fact that we’ll see Wade Wilson undergo the Weapon-X programme, Become Deadpool, and, according to the synopsis, ‘hunt down the ‘man who nearly destroyed his life’. So far, so very broad, but we do also know that a new version of Colossus will appear and that our hero will call him a “big chrome c*ck-gobbler”, presumably just before being deservedly punched straight through the fourth wall.
Brad Pitt's kids were massive fans of Deadpool, which meant that he didn't take a lot of convincing to agree to a cameo in the sequel.
Deadpool 2, or rather, its production company (one of them, at least), has been fined nearly $300,000 for the tragic death of a stuntwoman on set.
Controversial comedian T.J. Miller says that he doesn't want to do Deadpool 3, but will anyway due to contractual obligation.
