"The best thing about Legally Blonde – it’s authenticity – is also its scariest, so we’ll hold on to that for a minute. Watching it recently, though, I was struck by how well-paced it is. Modern comedy tends to drag a bit, especially in this age of riffing and improvisation. Legally Blonde gets right to business, rarely letting a joke go on too long. It moves at such a good clip that you don’t realize just how many storylines have been introduced and appropriately played out in its 96 minutes."
