Dana Abercrombie from Filmtakeout writes:
"One cannot just blame the acting or lack of a chemistry test on the downfall of this film. The script is most deserving of that praise. Watching Sinister 2 is like watching two separate films thrown together by generic tape, the glue most likely made by Stevie Wonder. While managing to be a rather decent murder mystery focusing on finding out what happened in the church, it is an embarrassing abysmal horror film that, instead of eliciting fear, makes you laugh with one-liners like, “that’s the end of your film!”"
