IGN: This was the episode that we’ve been waiting for since Season 2 began. “Extract and Defend” finally puts Cameron and Joe back together in quite possibly the worst scenario imaginable: an important meeting with Jacob Wheeler in which they have to be nice to each other or risk losing everything.
The meet-up certainly delivered, albeit in an unexpected manner. I was relieved to see Sara know all about Cameron – another example of Joe being very forthcoming with her – but was surprised to see how immediately distrustful Sara was of Joe, stemming from him withholding information about his plans for timesharing the mainframe. While I like seeing the cracks in their relationship form, this is indicative of a larger problem on this show, which is a character reacting to the viewer’s perception of a character rather than their own.

Don’t let the cringey awkwardness of The Office fool you: Michael Scott would actually be the perfect boss.
