Earl Benjamin, CEO of C3 Entertainment, Inc. Alan Simpson, CEO of Grand Peaks Entertainment and Brian O’Shea, CEO of The Exchange announced today that The Three Stooges are returning to the big screen in a new action-comedy feature film, with Sean Hayes (Larry), Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe) and Will Sasso (Curly) all set to reprise their roles from 2012’s The Three Stooges. A “major action star” is expected to be added to the cast, it was announced. Directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly are not involved at this time, their film having grossed about $55 million worldwide on a $30 million budget.

I'm surprised because the first didn't perform amazingly. But I'm happy to see the ambition. I thought there were solid moments in the first that could be harnessed more efficiently and replicated more often.
