IGN: I really enjoy the casual yin/yang chemistry between Pamela Adlon and Louis CK. I also really appreciate how this series depicts our hero as a depressed lump in his personal life but then funny and invested while on stage. Not that this dichotomy doesn't exist all throughout the world of stand-up comedy, but specifically hearing Pamela call Louie out as not being a "fun person" was very telling. She's untethered and lively while he's insecure and maddening.
