Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer 2 Analysis: What is Happening in That Galaxy From Far, Far Away

EB: Earlier today the second official teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was shown at the Star Wars Celebration 2015 kick-off panel, and to sum it up, it is freaking amazing. It’s one of the greatest movie trailers I’ve seen in quite sometime when it comes to coaxing an emotional response from me, and like the first one, it hints at the fact that J.J. may know how to handle the Star Wars saga better than the creator himself.

I’ve watched it multiple times by now like a loyal Star Wars fan, so I’m ready to provide my take on the various scenes featured in the trailer. Below you’ll find various screenshots from the trailer with my brief analysis of what I think is going on. Obviously, this is complete speculation, I’m just taking what I saw and slapping my thoughts down on digital paper.

I bet Kylo Ren's keeping around Darth Vader's helmet around for posterity or inspiration and Luke's in hiding training pupils for a final battle with the hidden Sith. Boyega's an everyman who just tries to do the right thing and ends up on the run from the Empire and Ridley's living on Tatooine with her adopted uncle that's a friend of Han and Leia's who sent her to Tatooine to keep her safe from the Empire.

I have to agree outside of Tatooine, JJ confirmed today that the desert planet we have seen is Jakku, not sure how it's really spelled though.
