Pajiba: Sam Raimi was on the Nerdist podcast this week, and other than revealing himself to be the fucking coolest guy on the planet, he spoke at length about his work behind the Evil Dead movies (he didn’t even like horror movies when he began his career, but made Evil Dead because it’s something they could do on a meager budget), the Starz Evil Dead series, and his other projects.
Fans loved John Krasinski’s Doctor Strange cameo, but according to director Sam Raimi, it was a one-off, and not considered cannon.
You get a cameo! You get a cameo! Everybody gets a cameo!
'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' soars highest when Sam Raimi is allowed to cut loose.
Shame he wasn't allowed to make the Spider-man 3 he wanted. Makes you wonder how different the Spider-man franchise would be right now, We'd have at least a fifth movie by now. :/ Feel bad for Dylan Baker, poor guy got teased to become the Lizard so much and ultimately didn't get to play him.
Honestly, how many times are Sony execs going to step in the way before they realize it's THEM that make terrible movies?
Say what you will about it (packing in so much stuff being one of them), but I still thought it was an admirable effort for an director to go out on (as far as the Spiderman series is concerned).
I will never apologize for loving Spider-man 3. It's arguably Raimi's best work to date and one of my favorite superhero movies. Yes, I'm that guy. Mr. Raimi, don't you apologize for Spider-man 3, either.
spider-man 3 was terrible to the point of no return. Handling so many characters in just one film is no easy task.
