Protests At the Exodus: Gods And Kings World Premiere Over Ridley Scott’s All-White Cast

The world premiere of Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings is taking place in London tonight, and it seems that someone has taken exception to Scott’s all-white cast for the biblical epic and is protesting the red carpet with a sign that reads “Egyptians were black. No more lies.

The history for this even happening is scant ie non existent. The Egyptians loved to talk about their mythos and how it 'effected' their every day life. You'd imagine a massive slave uprising, a whole generation of boys dying, and torrential downpours of bugs would have been mentioned....somewhere.

That being said I'm seeing the pictures posted and we have a sign that says 'Egyptians were black' its right but mostly wrong. We know what the ancient Egyptians looked like through their wall reliefs and skeletal remains. A resemblance to modern Egyptians.

Of course we cant forget the 25th dynasty of Egypt aka the Nubian Dynasty who were for all intensive purposes black. Long rant short I hate historical revisionists and love Ridley Scott.
