"Viper," despite being saddled with the overdone new-drug-on-the-street story trope, was the strongest chapter of Gotham so far. It still stuck to the basic episode blueprint we've come to expect (which I think the show could use a break from), but both the "villain of the week" and Bruce's scenes fed into a much larger "corruption within Wayne Enterprises" story that really got my attention. Because whereas it may have seemed before like Maroni had the Waynes killed, a better suspect now would be Wayne Enterprises itself. Which is a really interesting idea.
